Striking vintage Mid-Century Modern pendant light, combining sculptural wood, gold painted metal and a beautifully patterned glass globe.
The fixture is built around three substantial shaped wooden supports, arranged around the central light cmfitting. Their bold, almost architectural profiles give the lamp a distinctive sculptural quality, while the warm wood contrasts beautifully with the metal hardware.
At the centre is a rounded frosted glass globe decorated with fine white spiral stripes. The lines sweep continuously around the spherical shade, creating a sense of movement and emphasizing its curved form. When illuminated, the frosted glass should provide softly diffused light while the spiral pattern becomes more pronounced.
Suspended from a chain, the combination of wood, brass and striped glass gives the lamp a particularly warm European Mid-Century character, with elements of Scandinavian and Atomic-era design.
